Dr K S R Murthy, former CSIR Scientist and currently
Secretary General CoRWA, has been recognized for his contributions towards a
clean and green environment.
He was awarded the Green India-2022 Awards for his efforts
in rainwater harvesting. The award was presented at the World Environment
Conference-2022 and All India Mayors and RWAs Summit held earlier this month at
Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The main theme of the two-day Conference was Waste
Management and included lectures by experts on the subject.
A total of 10 people were awarded the Green India Awards in
various categories recognising their efforts for a clean and sustainable environment.
Instituted by the Green Society of India the awards aim to recognize
and felicitate Achievers, Innovators and Suppliers, who have contributed
significantly towards the environment, green Innovation and related areas in
India.
