Local Elections Watch

Ennikala Nigha Vedika has initiated, as usual, Election Watch activities in the Panchayat and Municipal elections that are being held in Andhra Pradesh in the months of February and March 2021. The state-level coordination is assured by Dr. Rao V.B.J. Chelikani, V.V. Rao, S. Karunakar, M. Nageswara Rao and K.V. Srinivasa Rao. The Election Watch teams in all the districts have extended maximum cooperation to the State Election Commissioner, who inspite of being a constitutional authority has not been receiving the whole-hearted cooperation that is imperative from the state administrative apparatus to render. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the civil society organisations to work freely since many political governments in the states are becoming increasingly authoritarian, populist and spend-thrift. Kadapa ENV

The Commissioner in return solicited their cooperation and invited them to work together with the District Collector who is present. The ENV team also included the Coordinator of Ramapuram mandal Sri. Kadiraiah garu, Coordinator of Rayachoti mandal Sri. Nakka Naryana garu and others.
