Kamareddy District branch of Telangana All Senior Citizens Association has conducted Village Senior Citizen’s Mela-2021 which is attended by nearly ten people from each of the nearby 25 villages. After unveiling the statue of Smt. Mattam Rajamma, it is opened by the Chief Whip of the ruling party in the State Assembly, Sri. Gampa Govardhan garu. On this occasion, organiser of the Sai Charan Oldage Home, Smt. Saradadevi Rajannagaru has distributed sarees for women and blankets for men, and arranged lunch for all. Invited as special guest, the President of TASCA Sri. P. Narasimha Rao appealed to all to organise senior citizens associations in all the villages. Other invited guests, Sri. Pippirthi Anjaneyulu, president of Kamareddy Mandal, Sri. Punna Rajeswar, Chairman Gandhalaya Samstha, Sri. Lakshma Reddy, ZPTC, Sri. Gopi Gowd, ex-chairman of the Market Committee also spoke and wished to see more and more senior citizens associations. Members of the Association present are: Sarvasri. Sai Gowd, Ch. Elders Clubs International Foundation’s 2nd Saturday program is held on 13th Feb. at ICADR Conference Hall, Nampally, Hyderabad, where Justice Sri G. Chandraiah, the Human Rights Commissioner, TS is the chief guest. He himself donated Rs. 25,000/for "Peddala Annaprasadam" scheme in Elders Club, Sri JLN Murthy, Secretary ICADR has donated Rs. 10,000 and other members promised around Rs.40,000/spontaneously. "Peddalaku Annaprasadam" scheme will be implemented from Ugadi i.e.from 13th April onwards. 1. The Tanuku Senior Citizens has met on 9th Feb. to celebrate the completion of five years of launching the building under the presidentship of Sri. Gadigatla Keseswra Raogaru. In a review, it is found that ‘Health Services at Home” delivery has completed four years, though due to COVID 19, the medical camps were less. So far, 256 persons were treated at their homes; 325 persons were treated in the office; 365 patients got the benefit of the Physiotherapy centre; 63 persons without any resources were attended totally by the Mullapudi Venkatrayudu Eye Hospital, including operations. On this occasion, the doctors and those who paid for the medicines were profusely thanked in the presence of Secretary Sri. G. Satyanarayana, Secretary Mrs. G. Jayalakshmi, the Vice President Mrs. Bharati Radhakrishna and joint Secretaries Sri. Ramakrishna Rao, Sri. Chalapathi Rao and other members of the Executive Committee. 2. On 21st the Health camp that is organised every 3rd Sunday is held, as usual and several tests were carried out by the Saisree Swetha Diagnostic centre in the morning and in the evening results were handed over with appropriate advice on food precautions and prescriptions. Where it is necessary, free medicines are also provided with the support of Seth Kanthilal Solanki. The whole team of the office-bearers were present to render all help. In the wake of the re-opening of the academic season and in order to support its 413 students, the Qutbullapur Govt. Junior College, Hyderabad has received the following donations from various generous persons thanks to the persuading efforts of Sri. Narayana Rao garu: Litres of sanitation material for handwash, masks and Scanner for checking the temperature from Sri. Sudhakar and RV Harshavardhan, under the auspices of Velugu Educational Trust and by Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi of Mee-Seva Communications. A Godrez-make almairah from the president of the H.L. Colony Sri. T. Anajaneyulu. A pair of uniforms for 16 students from the family of Sri. Ramu of Shapur nagar. Biscuits and chocolates from Prasad Gupta and Prabhakar Gupta of Vasavi Club International of Shapur nagar. 50 benches worth Rs. 2,50,000 have been bought by Sri. Chamakura Bhadra Reddy garu.
