Civil Society Commemorates Doctor's Day!

The 1st July, the birth day of Dr B.C. Roy is observed as the Doctor’s day. On this day the community recognizes the yeomen service by local doctors.  An account of the event by various RWAs.

FSCT, Tarnaka

The Forum of Senior Citizens Tarnaka (FSCT) usually observes the day in the Nagarjuanagar Community Hall by facilitating doctors in the locality followed by discussions on medical topics for Sr. Citizens. 

This year, however because of the lockdown, we requested a few members to go to these doctors’ places and wish them. We met Dr. Mrs Sreelatha Bernard, a retired government doctor, who is actively attending to the poor and needy patients even at odd times, free of cost. We wished her on the occasion.

Senior Citizen Forum, Gadwal

The Forum celebrated the Day in the  district TNGO Centre  and invited the Zilla Parishad Chairperson Smt. Saritha as the chief guest to greet the doctor. Dr. Sobha Rani, Superintendent of the government hospital, Dr. Bimanayak, DMHO, Dr. Mohan Rao, Sri. Mohan Rao, President of the District Senior Citizens Forum, Sri. Madhusudan Babu, Sri. Bijapur Anand from TNGO, and  representatives of other associations have joined on this occasion. 

Friends Welfare Association in Serilingampally

The Association members Sri. Rammohan Rao, Sri. Sivaramkrishna, Sri. Khader, Sri. N. Srinivasa Rao, Smt. Vani Sambasiva Rao, Sri. M.S. Narayana, Sri. Janardhan, led by their convenor Sri. Tadiboyina Ramaswamy Yadav have observed the Day in Superviz College in Chandanagar. The convenor has traced the life history and achievements of Dr. B.C. Roy for the benefit of the participants. On this occasion, Dr. P.P. Sarma, Dr. Mrudula, BHEL General Hospital, President of the Doctors’ Forum Captain Dr. Ravindra Kumar, CMO of H.C.U. Health Centre Dr. Anupama, Dr. Sreedhar Reddy of Smith Dental College in Chandanagar were felicitated.

On 1^st July, hosting the 72^nd birth day of Kambaduri Shaikh Nabi Rassol in the Asraya Orphange Home in the outskirts of Ananthapur and felicitation of Balanna and the couple Krishna Reddy.
