New CEO for HelpAge India

Rohit Prasad Takes Over as HelpAge India CEO

On June 30, 2020, Mr. Mathew Cherian, CEO, HelpAge India, has retired and Mr. Rohit Prasad, who was serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the organization has taken over. Mr. Mathew was at the organization’s helm for nearly two decades and laid a strong foundation. He elevated the organization which started with relief work to the level of being  a unique organisation dealing with the general welfare of the elders across the nation. The in-coming CEO, Mr. Rohit Prasad joined HelpAge India in October 2017. Over the last three years, he has been working closely with Mr. Mathew in planning the way forward, with a clear vision of the road ahead.  As HelpAge goes through this change of guard, we look forward to your continued support. With the pandemic, elders –who are more vulnerable – need help more than ever before. We hope you will continue to proudly partner with us in these challenging times, as we journey towards many more new milestones.

Please join us in bidding a warm farewell to Mathew, and a welcome to Rohit in his new role as CEO.

Kiran Karnik, Chairperson, HelpAge India
