The Director General of Police, Telangana State made a fervent appeal to the residents of the Apartment-buildings and Colony associations to form a committee of 2 members in each association to cooperate with him to prevent the Corona virus contamination.

Mobile Rythu Bazars In Hyderabad RWAs

At the request of Major Shiv Kiran and B.T. Srinivasan of UFERWAS, Dr. Janardhan Reddy IAS from the State Agricultural Dept. has made arrangements for Mobile Rythu Bazar of vegetables and fruits directly brought from the growers from the rural areas wherever the RWAs have shown the place for marketing in Hyderabad.

Kriya Sangh Society, an NGO in Rasoolpura has decided to provide food to around 3000 slum dwellers, homeless people, daily wage migrants  of Indiranagar (Rasoolpura) and nearby slum areas, GHMC (20 areas), SCB (10 areas), JNMC (10 areas).  It is distributing daily 700 t0 800 food packets in Rasoolpura, Begumpet, Raniganj, Bowenpally, Hashmatpet, Old Bowenpally, Borabanda, Chilkalguda, Warisguda, Singada Basthi ,Tank bund to osmsmaia hospital road, Shaikpet to construction workers and others. They formed teams with 80 volunteers for funds-rising and Raw metarial procurement, identification of needy areas for distribution, for cooking and packaging, and for distribution. Though there is a demand for nearly 1500 packets, they are only able to make 700 to 800 due to lack of resources.

Distribution of Food


Alumni students of  Zilla Parishad High School-Malkajgiri,1992 batch headed by Mr Sakkuri Bhaskar Rao have started distributing 150 food packets to the needy in Malkajgiri locality starting from  Government Hospital - Malkajgiri to Neredmet. Finding that there are more people to serve in the hospital, including the patients, Mr. Bhasker and his friends got more food cooked to meet the demand.

P. Krishna, Shankini Dhanraj of Janani Foundation, supported by Aman Vedika have  distributed 500 food packets in a night to the shelterless people at Gandhi hospital, Musheerabad, RTC X roads, Narayanaguda circle, Koti maternity hospital, ENT hospital, Nampally railway stations, etc.


Ms. Sandhya, president of Anu Foundation in Malkajgiri has got masks stitched by some 80 women who have been recently trained, at a cost of Rs. 5 each. They are intended to the resident welfare associations and for GHMC.

On 5th April, the Friends Welfare Association has distributed Pudeena rice and bananas near the vegetable market place, in front of the Railway station, Taranagar and near Sandayyanagar in Serilingampalli division. Present are: Convenor Sri. Tadiboyina Ramaswamy Yadav and members Sri. Ram mohan Rao, Sri. Sivarma Krishna, Sri. Janardhan, Sr. MS Rao, Sri. Viswa and others.

Mohammed Wajid Hussain, former Corporator Bholakpur and a member of UFERWAS has arranged for the Door to Door visit of a medical team for Corona awareness with the participation of the Health Centre, Bible House Sister P.Laxmi Bai, C.Yadamma and D.Suhasini and Asha Workers Meraj Fatima, Chaand Sultana, Revati, Prema Lata, Shaheda Parveen, Krishna Veni, Renuka in places like Indira Nagar 2nd Venture lanes, Anjuman Boys High School lane, Anjuman Complex lane, Gulshan Nagar lanes and in Kareemia Masjid lane. They have visited those who are in self-confinement.

Forum for Peoples’ Health

A 24/7 help line (no. 040 48214595) is arranged with some concerned volunteers to cater to other urgent health needs of the people staying at home, at a time when everybody is pre-occupied by the Corona virus. Many doctors and super specialty experts have come forward to support the service by telephone, anywhere in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

This is arranged by Dr. Ande Satyam, President of the Forum, Sri. Ravula Varaprasad, General Secretary, and Sri.A.Suresh of Arogya Sub-Committee of Jana Vigyana Vedika, Telangana.

The Czech Colony is getting Ventilators Made Locally

A startup Aerobiosys in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad has developed a versatile Ventilator model which can be produced in great quantities. Each ventilator costs around Rs 1.00 Lakh. At present, the Czech Colony has raised about 50 lakhs of rupees for about 50 ventilators. They expect more contributors from colony, once the permission is given by the government. They intend to contact more  philanthropists from Sanathnagar area and make up 1000 ventilators in order to donate them to all government hospitals in Telangana. These ventilators are useful to patients in peaceful time also after this Corona battle and the donors will be sketched on the ventilator.

Hyderabad Red Cross

 "Maha Yagnyam"  at Red Cross Office in Masab Tank in which nearly 60 volunteers have been participating every day in preparing food and groceries and for packing.


The Sreekakulam District RedCross Society and its chairman Sri. P. Jaganmohan Rao in cooperation with Sri. P. Srinivas of P.V. R. Style Furnitures, Bhawani Charitable Trust and SBI Retired Employees Association have distributed 850 lunch food packets to the needy people, such as the security guards, municipal workers and the assistants to the patients admitted in the RIMS hospital and other sin Burma colony, Gunapalem, Hayatinagaram, Dwarakanagar colony and in Sreekakulam.

The Participants are CVN Nagajyothi  Welfare and Service Society in charge Sri. CVN Murthy, PVR Srinu, and the staff of the RedCross Kalyan, Srikanth, Kalyan Chakravarthy, Satyanarayana, Satish, Sreedhar, Vijayababu, Koteswara Rao, U. Prasad, Uma Sanker, Sudhakar, Sudhakar Rao, Bhima Rao, Syam, Madina, Tarakesh, etc.


East Kalyanpuri colony RWA 


East Kalyanpuri colony RWA distributing the provisions to 120 under-privileged families, including municipal sweepers and garbage lifting staff, under Aapanna Hastam programme. In 2nd phase, they are preparing fruits, water, sanitizers, masks and gloves to about 100 policemen on the next day. The accounts will be audited by the Association.  In its fight against Covid19, Dr. Kaumudhi, the founding-director of Learning Space Foundation in cooperation with APSA Padma have distributed in Annanagar in Gandhinagar some essential items for preparing food for 40 needy families in the presence of  Musheerabad MLA Sri. Mutha Gopal and Gandhinagar corporator Smt. Mutha Padma Naresh.
